Sonia - Why was the character of Tony so appealing to you?
Jordi - The conflict in Tony, with the fact that he had a hard shell that he carried around because of his past was very interesting, because when I was in highschool, growing up, and learning who I was and my self esteem, brought me to care for Tony more, and I could base it on who I was...also, the whole Mafia life style appealed to me...
Kimo - What's his favorite animal?
Jordi - Monkeys
Phyllis - I enjoy your performances, but which scene has been the most difficult to envision in your mind?
Jordi - Telling Marah that he doesn't want to have sex with her. I approached it in a negative manner. Tony has had sex with many women and he has this woman who wants him and gets him hot and bothered, and he doesn't understand it, how he can just say no and to wait until marriage. But I did realize that I could do it, I could envision the character, because I could feel how Tony felt and I could picture it..Tony cared for Marah more then just for sex..she became the love of his life.
Grace - How will Romeo become part of the Santos story when Carmen comes back?
Jordi - Romeo is basically his partner in crime and is basically going to be a crucial part in getting him to the top and controlling everything. I am speculating that Carmen and Tony are going to come into a major confrontation, because she thinks she is the boss, and he wants to be the boss.
Laura - Which do you prefer, the hot headed Tony who's tied to the mob or the softer more sedate Tony who worries about pinning a corsage?
Jordi - What is cool about being in a soap, is that every day you are given new things to play. You have to understand that Tony has been brought to this place in search of better things and a safer place, and has been treated like crap by everyone and has been an outsider, so when he tried doing the good thing, it didn't work out. He had fun doing the good thing, but the hot headedness comes from problems with Marah and not being able to fit in, but there is a certain warmth to Tony and I don't think Tony will cross the line to all the way bad. The reason why he would go to some violent extreme would be out of love. I enjoy playing both parts!
Jasmine - Do you have a Girlfriend?
Jordi - No
Rosewell17 - Are you happy with the direction that Tony is going in right now?
Jordi - Some of the hot headedness is frustrating to me, because he has to deal with anger and frustration and it takes a lot of energy out of me. There are moments that I do like, like taking over the family and having conflicting thoughts on working with Lewis Construction, and that he is a real person and isn't just all that. Tony is fun and I like where Tony is going.
Jeff - Jordi, what do you look for in a mate and where would you take her on your first date?
Jordi - Everything would have to be perfect..and I would have a picnic in the park during the day, and at night a lounge bar, with a nice dinner and a horseride in a park, and see how things go from there. But in NYC, most romantic place would be in Central Park.
Cathy - Which cast members do you hang around with outside of work?
Jordi - George Alverez, Oliver Macready, Ricky Paul Goldin, Jessica Jimenez, Laura Bell Bundy, Wesley Ramsey and I use to hang out with Paul Wasilewski, before he went to tape Wolf Lake.
Sareena - What is your next big project?
Jordi - I don't know...studying, trying to figure out where I am going to go. I would love to do film. I think I will really work on the show, but I like writing and I have a script I am working on. I hope to be able to produce a film in the future.
Kevin - How often do you visit message boards and when you visit the boards does everything you read affect you, or do you just take it as someones opinion and don't take it to heart?
Jordi - It's funny..I have visited them, more recently because of people telling me to check them out. I try to stay away as much as possible..not because I don't love the fans, but because it kind of affects me...I didn't go into acting for the fame..although it is a confidence boost..I did it because I loved it....but I try to stay away because it kind of affects me.
Phyllis - Are you a NY Yankee fan or NY Mets fan, or neither?
Jordi - If I had to pick a team in NY, I would go with the Yankees..but I am more of a Marlins fan.
Laura - If you were on Who Wants to Be a Millionnaire, who would be your lifelines and why?
Jordi - My dad, because he is a really smart guy.
Jasmine - Who would you rather see Tony with, Catalina or Marah?
Jordi - Tony has one heart..for one girl....for Marah Lewis...so it would be Marah!
Jeff - Are you planning on attending the GL events in October?
Jordi - Yes....all of the events, even bowling, which I missed last year.
Cathy - Are you still taking College courses?
Jordi - Yes...starting September 6th. I will be taking history, a religion class, and a painting class.
Christie - What would you change about your character if you could?
Jordi - I wouldn't change anything about him!
Laura - What do you think of all the reality shows and which one have you watched the most?
Jordi - I don't watch much TV, but I saw Fear Factor, which was interesting. I don't think you can call them reality shows, because there isn't a lot of reality in them. It kind of takes away from actors, and I think there should be more shows like ER, and West Wing. I want to see non-reality shows that are crazy, fun and cool. I think the "reality" shows are going to die out pretty soon.
Lorna - What do you think about working with Laura, and how do you like your "new" song?
Jordi - I love working with Laura. We have a very tense connections, on every level and I have a strong respect for her. Laura is the best and is such a sweetheart and special and real, and we can talk about anything. I love her for that. The song was great. She has a beautiful and incredible voice. It was hard being Tony in those scenes because I couldn't really enjoy it.
Kelly - Have you received any movie offers recently?
Jordi - No
Connie - If you could get the perfect present what would it be?
Jordi - The best present I think would be love.
Mannymuck23 (AKA Laura) - Do you adlib in your scenes or do you pretty much stick to the script?
Jordi - I pretty much stick right to the script, unless something is really needed. Sometimes you really can't control an emotion, so when you get fired up, there is some adlibbing.
Andi - Sorry I was unable to make the chat!!! My question is, what major thing have you learned since you've been with GL? Thanks, and great job!!
Jordi - Basically that the reason people do things is out of love or out of fear.
Jordi - It has been great! I love all the fans out there, I really do, and it is overwhelming sometimes..the appreciation and I love them for it. I really respect their love for Tony and the show. I get all of your mail, and will respond to you some in the future, but I have been busy, and will continue to be, being the best actor I can be. Thank you all for coming! I appreciate you all for coming and for all the support!
